To cope with the rapid growth of e-commerce and direct delivery trends, machine learning (ML) is increasingly integrated into ADAS, public works, intelligent traffic systems (ITS), and warehouse automation. At the heart of these innovations is the Nexcom in-vehicle computer, specifically the AI-aided VTC 7260-xC4. This powerful platform serves as the core of vehicles, enabling applications such as smart public transit, smart agriculture and construction, and automated intralogistics, transforming how industries operate with efficiency and intelligence.
Convenient and Powerful Computing
The Nexcom in-vehicle computer VTC 7260-xC4 is equipped with the 11th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-1185GRE Processor, delivering 25% more computing power than its predecessor. For high-performance image recognition and AI workloads, it supports up to two Hailo AI Accelerator cards, providing approximately 52 TOPS of computing power. This allows ADAS systems to identify, recognize, and predict vehicle anomalies through video surveillance, LiDAR, and mmWave radar. Despite its compact and lightweight design, it supports a wide array of surrounding sensors, making it ideal for smart public transit and warehouse automation, while enabling real-time decision-making at the edge.
Flexible Compatibility for Diverse Applications
With four independent 2.5 GbE PoE ports and four USB 3.2/2.0 ports, the Nexcom in-vehicle computer connects effortlessly with IP/stereo cameras, mmWave radar, and 2D/3D LiDAR. Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and forklifts leverage these connections with SLAM algorithms to navigate and complete tasks autonomously. Meanwhile, buses and ambulances utilize AVL via GNSS, 5G, and Wi-Fi to optimize routes in public transit and ITS, ensuring efficiency and safety under emergency conditions. The built-in computing power, combined with the Hailo AI accelerator and 40x1080p30 video decoding, enables the system to handle massive AI workloads, including video and point cloud data, with remarkable speed.
Robust Wireless Connectivity
The Nexcom in-vehicle computer offers five extension slots for connecting up to three Wi-Fi, LTE, or 5G modules, supporting busy server communications in real-time. AMRs and forklifts store all recorded footage and machine-to-machine data on NVMe storage, ready for export via Wi-Fi, 5G, or backhaul systems. For buses, ambulances, and farm tractors, data uploads occur upon returning to workstations. Wi-Fi 6 ensures a clutter-free wireless environment, while advanced heat dissipation protects LTE, Wi-Fi, NVMe, and Hailo AI cards in harsh environments.
Reliability and Safety
The compact Nexcom in-vehicle computer VTC 7260-xC4 meets MIL-STD-810H standards, operates across a wide temperature range, and is secured with TPM 2.0. Rich I/O options, expansion slots, and LTE/5G connectivity reduce labor and operational costs while increasing productivity, security, and safety. By integrating AI, robust computing, and connectivity, this platform guides vehicles toward full automation.
